Optional Accessories for Your Forklift
Audible Devices - Back-Up or Motion Alarms:
The audible devices like motion alarms or back-up alarms produce sound which has to be really loud in order to be heard above the sound which the forklift makes in the operating place.
The sound generated by the audio device must be distinguishable from other audible devices or noises from the work environment. The sound should also be different from the other noise or audible devices within the work area. The audible device can end up contributing to OSHA noise limitation and to employee noise exposure; hence, care should be taken.
Determine the direction and distance the sound of the audible device is made more difficult due to the use of hearing protection. Audible devices can occasionally get deactivated from both operators and workers because they could find them irritating. What's more, audible devices could also be objectionable to residents nearby.
Additional Operator & Application Options:
Enclosed Operator Cabs: To be able protect the operator from the elements, enclosed operator cabs made of tempered glass are used to help prevent injuries and reduce other issues. In addition, these cabs feature an emergency exit through removing the window. The levels of noise are lessened at the operator's ear because of additional sound proofing.
Operator Selectable Performance Modes: The operator is able to choose the performance need for the particular application. In addition, it enables a supervisor to set the maximum performance of a unit for an operator who is just learning. Being able to adjust and reduce the maximum performance of the model allows a new operator to learn the operating features of the equipment in a controlled setting.
Impact Monitor: When the impact monitor is disabled, a supervisor is needed to enable and override the model. This encourages the operator to be sure to manage the equipment in a more controlled way.
Dual Rear View and Panoramic Mirrors: These mirrors serve as an aid to the operator in observing the operating environment behind the truck as well as the tail swing area.
