Due to the growing demand for high performing narrow aisle reach trucks, Nissan has taken the initiative to develop the first pantograph type reach truck in the business. Introducing the new SRX Platinum Series of reach trucks has become part of the North American market. The Australian launch is scheduled to follow very soon.
The SRX Platinum Series is available in 3 capacities. These load capacities vary from 1360 kilograms to 2000. The system was developed because of intensive operator participation on the design. These factors played a big roll to ensure its acceptance into the extremely competitive reach truck market in the US. The following outstanding safety and operator comfort features have resulted for the Nissan trucks.
Because of a low step height, entry and exit is simplified. The side stance design makes forward and reverse driving a comfortable experience for the operator. The unit is available with a gently sloped floorboard that is in place to sit over 4 vibration isolators. This particular design provides a relaxed driving position for the operator throughout a standing shift. Moreover, the SRX Platinum Series offers a cushioned floor mat to offer a more enjoyable and smoother ride.
The dual spring suspension system in the caster design adds to the equipment's smoothness of operation. This suspension on rough and uneven driving surfaces, the suspension has been built to provide much better stability during operation. The thick padding situated under the operator's arm further improves the total comfort factor. There is a height adjustable knee pad and cushioned backrest in place also. The rear overhead guard post and the high operator backrest on the SRX Series provide extra protection for the operator. This is especially essential when working in tight and around racking locations.
Nissan's lift trucks have been made with the intuitive and ergonomically designed interior with a multi-function handle, which helps to achieve accurate control while reducing operator comfort. Several of the Operational commands include lower or lift, drive, side-shift or other auxiliary function, reach, and the horn could be performed and executed using this single handle.
