Change an LPG Cylinder
Forklifts are powered by a variety of sources. They could run using liquid propane or LP gas, gasoline, diesel or battery. LP is a clean burning fuel ideal for many applications. There are several facilities that have large liquid propane supplies on site. This allows forklifts to be refueled anytime they require. In other places, the facility will have spare LP cylinders which are able to be changed out when the machine should be refueled.
When changing out an LP cylinder, you must truly be careful so as to avoid possible serious injuries. Like for instance: be certain to put on the correct safety equipment like heavy gloves, goggles or safety glasses. Make certain that you turned off the ignition of the forklift prior to changing out the tank. Next, close the cylinder valve by turning it until it is firmly closed. Use your hand to loosen the hose connection to the tank. Don't forget that it would turn in the opposite direction of a standard connection and never utilize a metal tool or any kind of wrench on these connections. They are meant to be tightened by hand only.
