Use a Pneumatic Forklift
Pneumatic forklifts are common in shipping and warehouse operations. Also called pump trucks or pallet trucks, they are used to transport products and materials around on wooden pallets using metal forks mounted on a wheeled counterweight. The counterweight contains a pump that lifts the forks off the ground. A pallet truck is designed to be operated by a single person.
To be able to prevent loosing control while lifting heavy loads, pallet trucks should always be operated carefully. Machine must be checked before operating. Clear the wheels area of any obstructions. Make sure that the handle could turn smoothly. The pallet must be carefully stacked in order to ensure that nothing will fall off during transportation.
On the end of the pallet truck's handle, squeeze the level found on the inside of the metal loop in order to release the air in the pump and lower the forks. The forks can then be pushed into the pallet slots. The forks should be in the middle in order to ensure even distribution of the pallet's weight across them. Lift the forks from the ground by pumping the handle of the pneumatic lift until the pallet has cleared the ground completely. Do not lift the pallet very high or the forklift can unbalance.
Move the pallet by pulling on the handle and dragging it behind you. It is truly not safe to push the pallet ahead of you because the momentum can cause it to go out of control. Slowly take turns and don't try to stop suddenly. Gradually stop, squeeze the lever, and the forks will lower to the ground. Finally, remove the forks from the pallet by pulling them out. Return the pallet truck to its permanent place.
